A DELAY in bin collections at Worcestershire Royal Hospital prompted one 'whistleblower' to raise concerns.
After the person contacted the Worcester News to say the bins had not been collected for two days, we asked the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust to explain.
Stephen Welch, director of estates and facilities at the trust, said: “Due to the recent spell of snow, we experienced a short delay in the collection of general waste from our stores due to our service partners being temporarily unable to get to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital. This has since been rectified, and we thank all our partners for their continued hard work in keeping our hospitals running smoothly.”
The bags shown in the photo are filled with general waste not medical waste.
