A CHILDREN’S nursery in Worcester has been forced to close for a week due to Covid-19.
Victoria House Day Nursery on Bromyard Road, St John’s, has shut down due to “a number of staff” being required to isolate after one of the children, along with members of their family, tested positive for Covid-19.
Parents of children aged two or younger who attended between Monday, January 18 and Thursday, January 20 have been advised those children should isolate.
The open letter published on Victoria House’s website read: “Unfortunately, due to a child and their family testing positive for Covid-19, a number of staff have been asked to self-isolate as per the guidance by Public Health England.
“The nursery will therefore be closed until Monday, February 1.
“Any children from two and under will have to self-isolate if they attended nursery last week (w/c January 18) from Monday to Thursday. The self-isolation period will end on Sunday, January 31.
“Please contact us via our email address (info@victoriahousedaynursery.co.uk) with any questions and monitor both this page and our Facebook page for further details.
"Clearly this is an inconvenience for all of us but we will of course adhere to the rules put forward to us in order to minimise any transmission within the nursery setting.”
The before and after-school provision offered by the business has been closed since January 4 in line with general Covid-19 restrictions.
