POLICE want witnesses to come forward after a crash that left a motorcyclist and his passenger with “serious injuries” in Copcut, Droitwich on Saturday night.

Emergency services were called to the collision between a car and a motorbike near the Copcut Elm on Worcester Road at around 10.10pm.

West Midlands Ambulance Service has confirmed three men were hurt in the incident with the two who had been on the motorbike treated at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, one with “multiple serious injuries”.

An ambulance service statement read: “We were called at 10.07pm to reports of a collision between a car and a motorbike on Worcester Road, Droitwich.

“Four ambulances, two paramedic officers and a MERIT trauma doctor attended the scene. On arrival we discovered a total of three patients, all of whom were male.

“The motorcyclist was treated for multiple serious injuries before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. The second patient, a pillion passenger on the motorbike, was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to the same hospital.

“The driver of the car, who had to be cut out of his vehicle by the fire service, received treatment for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.”

Police would like anyone who saw what happened or may have footage of the incident to offer evidence.

The police statement read: “We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Copcut, Droitwich on Saturday night.

“At around 10.10pm on Saturday, January 16, a BMW K1200 motorbike and a silver Ford Fiesta collided at the Pulley Lane junction with the A38 at Copcut, Droitwich.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the collision or has dash-cam footage of the incident.”
