THE number of Worcestershire residents who died with Covid-19 mentioned on the death certificate in all settings has reached a new grim milestone in passing 700, new data shows.
There were 22 Covid-19 deaths recorded across all settings in Worcestershire in the latest week of data made available.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) figures, for the week ending December 25, show the deaths included four Worcester residents who all died in hospital.
Four Wychavon residents died; three in hospital, and one at home, while three Malvern residents died; two in hospital and one in a care home.
Four Wyre Forest residents died, three in hospital and one in a care home.
Two Bromsgrove residents died, one in hospital and one in care home.
And five Redditch residents died that week, all in hospital.
This latest ONS data means that, in total, 716 people in Worcestershire classed as having Covid-19, had died up to December 25.
A total of 85 Worcester residents have died including 45 in hospital, 31 in a care home, four at home, three in a communal establishment and two in a hospice.
A total of 163 people in Wyre Forest have died including 102 in hospital, 47 in a care home, 10 at home, two in a communal establishment, one in a hospice and one elsewhere.
A total of 157 Bromsgrove residents have died including 90 in hospital, 61 in a care home, four elsewhere, one at home and one in a communal establishment.

In Wychavon 152 people have died including 79 in hospital, 54 in a care home, eight at home, six in a communal establishment, four in a hospice and one elsewhere.
A total of 101 people from Redditch have died including 80 in hospital, 18 in a care home, two at home, and one in a communal establishment.
And 58 people from Malvern have died including 33 in hospital, 22 in a care home, two at home and one in a communal establishment.
