FOR our latest trip back through time, we thought we'd slow things down a bit and concentrate on traffic (or more specifically, traffic jams), which seems to have plagued Worcester for a long, long time.
Indeed some of the headlines which appeared in the papers in the 1970s, 80s and 90s could have been written last week, so little do certain issues seems to have moved on.
Nearly 30 years have passed since this headline was written, and still the debate goes on
Ruby Wild was featured in the Worcester Evening News on more than one occasion
There are also pictures from The Tything which will bring back memories for many readers; SG Gardners bakery and PW Wild's garage, anyone?
It's the end of an era in April 1988 when bakers S G Gardners bakery changed hands. Sadie Hardman, whose father Stan set up the shop in 1928, enjoys her last cake as the shop's owner
July 1987 and Worcestershire County Cricket Club captain Phil Neale is cutting the tape on the opening of the School Shop
Do some of these pictures bring back memories? Why not visit the We grew up in Worcester page on Facebook and take a look at the pictures and memories being shared? You'd be more than welcome to share some of your own.
