THE city's coronavirus infection rate has fallen slightly according to the latest figures.

Worcester's rate fell to 149.2 per 100,000 people in the week up to October 29 with 151 positive cases recorded compared to 152.1 per 100,000 people in the previous week.

The infection rate also fell from a high of 160 per 100,000 people in the week up to October 26.

The infection rate increased in every other part of the county including Wychavon and Malvern Hills with Bromsgrove remaining the highest rate in Worcestershire.

Worcestershire's infection rate increase to 151.7 per 100,000 people with 904 cases recorded during the week.

The infection rate increased in Bromsgrove to 198.2 in the week compared to 179 a week earlier - making it the highest rate in Worcestershire.

A total of 198 cases were recorded in Bromsgrove during the week compared to 179 in the previous week.

The infection rate in Redditch was 190 per 100,000 people in the week up to October 29 with 162 cases recorded.

The infection rate in Redditch in the previous week was 140.7 per 100,000 people with 120 cases recorded.

The infection rate in Wychavon was 124.4 with 161 cases compared to 113.6 per 100,000 people a week earlier when 147 cases were recorded.

Malvern’s infection rate was 104.2 per 100,000 people with 82 cases recorded in the seven days compared to 96.6 per 100,000 people and 76 cases a week earlier.

Wyre Forest’s infection rate increased to 162.9 per 100,000 people in the week up to October 26 compared to 109.6 a week earlier.

The number of cases recorded was 165 compared to 111 a week earlier.
