INDEPENDENT eateries dominate the list in Tripadvisor’s best-rated restaurants in Worcester.
With 249 restaurants, pubs and cafes reviewed on the site, here are the top 5, as reviewed by Tripadvisor users.
1. Globe Modern Bistro in Friar Street currently holds the top spot with 156 reviewers rating the family run bistro as excellent.
"All I can say is you need to go here!"Wrote T7899SEsharons. "The food is to die for, the owners are fantastic and the building and gardens are beautiful! So friendly and welcoming I can’t wait to return to try more of the menu."
2. Coming in second is Anatolian Palace Turkish Mediterranean Grill Restaurant in Crowngate. The new kids on the block have impressed visitors with 174 reviewers rating them excellent.

Food is beyond delicious and super generous, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and it is amazing value for money. All of us are big eaters and we had to bring some home! Not enough superlatives to describe this place!"
3. Next up is The Blue Bell in Callow End. We recently reported on how landlady Sue Donohoe has left the business. But she has certainly made her mark with a whopping 1,002 visitors rating the food as excellent.

4. Thai on 7evern in Sidbury nabs fourth place with 276 reviewers rating the independent Thai restaurant excellent. Kingauk wrote: "Amazing food! One of my favourite restaurants in Worcester. The food is always amazing , so tasty! I always get one complimentary portion. I’m a regular customer for many years and I have never been disappointed. Food is great and staff extremely nice. My daughter and I love it."
5. Be the Change in The Cornmarket has certainly been a change for the better. 142 reviewers agree the Vegan Cafe is excellent.
