Fish4jobs, the online recruitment site that isa partner to the Croydon Guardian's website, has been confirmed as the most visited internet jobs site in the UK.

The site has close to 40,000 vacancies at any one time, and, with over 711,500 visitors in April, fish4jobs proved more popular than seven other major jobs sites. These include Total Jobs, GoJobsite, Top Jobs, and Workthing, according to the National Online Recruitment Audience Survey (NORAS).

Fish4Jobs also came out top among newer surfers, with a higher proportion of its visitors than any of the other sites surveyed being first year Internet users (22 per cent).

Nearly one in three fish4jobs visitors also do not bother to visit any other jobs site, the highest proportion among the sites surveyed.

Supported by the Association of Online Recruiters, a specialist division of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, the survey was carried out during April, gathering more than 6,000 questionnaires completed by recruitment site users.

Site visitor figures were also audited by ABC Electronic, the UK's leading independent traffic auditor.
