A MAN has been charged after a stabbing in Worcester.
Renato Pires Borges, aged 25, is accused of stabbing another man near Angel Street.
From there, the offender is believed to have gone down St Nicholas Street towards The Trinity.
The victim was treated in hospital for two stab wounds.
Police were called at around 4.25am on Sunday after a member of the public reported an "altercation" at The Foregate.
Pires Borges, from Astwood Road, Worcester, has been charged with Section 18 Wounding with Intent when he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
He has been remanded until his appearance at Worcester Crown Court on Monday, September 21.
Police officers and forensics staff were seen in the area on Sunday morning, with tape and cones being put out across the road at The Cross.
DS Chris Buffery said at the time: "We believe this is an isolated incident, the victim has been treated in hospital for two stab wounds.
"We are appealing to anyone who may have seen this incident or have information that might help our enquiries.
"Please call us on 101 quoting reference 131 I 230820."
