MORE photos have emerged of the dramatic moment a car burst into flames in a Worcestershire Road.

The car fire, in Pershore Lane, resulted in the road being blocked in both directions throughout Saturday (August 22)

Worcester News reader Jack Pope sent in photos from the scene showing a large cloud of smoke from the fire, while police shared a photo of the burnt-out car.

In their tweet, South Worcestershire Cops said: "This is certainly an original way of alerting the police to the fact you have no insurance on your car.

"Don’t think this one will be getting retrieved from the compound."

The A4538 Pershore Lane was blocked both ways with queueing traffic around Smite Lane for most of the afternoon before the wreck was cleared.

The blockage was reported by Twitter user Bec Tyrer, who wrote: "There is a car on fire on the A4538 Hindlip/Pershore lane.

"I've just come from the scene, no one injured, we turned as many cars around as we could.

"Unsure if a blockage is now made but fire engines and paramedics were at the scene when I left."
