HUNDREDS of parents have come forward to say they are experiencing difficulty getting school uniform after we highlighted the problem.

After our article on long online waits for orders from Schooltogs in New Street, other parents also they had had problems.

Shireen Patrick said: “I managed to order mine online in June but it took about three weeks to arrive. No confirmation emails or anything. I have never had good experiences in there though, it’s such a tiny cramped shop.”

Ali Taylor said: “We are still waiting and I’m worried my daughter won’t have anything to wear. Can’t buy from anywhere else which is ridiculous. No wonder the shop can’t cope.”

Melanie Ford said: “This is the problem when one shop has the monopoly of the school uniform, customer service does not need to take priority. My order went in at the beginning of July, but now due to issues won’t be available till October.”

Emily Smith said: “Placed our order online back at the beginning of July - we don’t need to try anything on, so didn’t need to go in....still waiting. Supplier issues apparently.”

Elizabeth Sarah said: “Still waiting for an order , have resorted to none logo uniform now for September.”

A spokesman for Schooltogs said: “Many goods come from China, Pakistan and European countries there have been inevitable delays. However, we now have 98% of all stocks in the business which is credit to the team. Our Worcester store still has over £700,000 worth of stock available even at this late stage. We would like to thank our customers for the tremendous feedback we have had and assure those that are still waiting for stock that we are working hard to make sure that we process the orders as soon as possible, whilst operating in a way that keeps colleagues and customers safe.”
