Police are searching a home in Worcester and have arrested a man after the death of a woman named Tatiana Rzepka in the city last year.
West Mercia Police officers and forensic teams have been searching the former home of Mrs Rzepka in Saddlers Walk, Worcester, throughout the day.
The 37-year-old married mother, who had a young daughter, died last year.
The Worcester News understands that Mrs Rzepka's husband was arrested today in connection with the investigation.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: “At around 9am this morning (Thursday August 6), officers searched a property in Saddlers Walk, Worcester. A cordon is in place around the house whilst our officers continue their investigation.
“A 42–year-old man has been arrested and is helping us with our enquiries.
“The searches at a home on Saddlers Walk relate to the death of a woman last year and enquiries are ongoing to establish circumstances surrounding her death.
“We are aware of local concern that we are searching for a body - this is not the case and we currently only searching inside the property.”
Police did not say when or how Ms Rzepka died last year.
Ms Rzepka was originally from Moldova.
An inquest into the death of Ms Rzepka is due to take place on Monday, August 10 at Stourport Coroners Court. The inquest starts at 10am and is expected to last one day.
