A GROUP of Christian environmental activists in the city wanted to show their appreciation and solidarity with BAME key workers by presenting the secretary of Worcester Welfare Association, Mohammed Iqbal, with a gift box of environmentally friendly skin care products.
Tom Piotrowski, from the Green Christian Worcester group said: "In times of crisis we all should show solidarity with our friends and neighbours.
"We recognise that BAME communities have been affected by exceptionally high rates of Covid-19 infections. Many NHS and care sector workers worship at the Tallow Hill Mosque in the city centre and that is why we wanted to express our gratitude for their incredibly hard work and for keeping us all safe during the recent Coronavirus pandemic."
