STING: Dave Throup moments after being stung by an unidentified insect
THIS is the swollen face of the Environment Agency for the county after he was stung by an unidentified flying insect believed to be a wasp or bee.
Dave Throup is the Environment Agency manager for Herefordshire and Worcestershire, and at the forefront of flood relief efforts.
Mr Throup tweeted “Bee/wasp 1 - Dave 0” along with the image above showing his partially closed eye and swollen cheek.
In 2014, he was hailed a “hero” for helping residents battle flooding.
