TWO men from Worcester will stand trial after they denied trying to kidnap a man in the city.
Ben and Sam James, from Worcester, appeared at Worcester Crown Court yesterday charged with attempting to kidnap the man in Worcester last year.
Ben, 25 and Sam, 23, both of Lime Avenue, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Judge James Burbage said: “You will be tried by jury.
“You must stay in contact with your lawyers and you are both subject to the conditional bail that you stay away from the complainant.”
They will return to court later this year when jury trials resume following the coronavirus crisis.
Judge Burbidge also said he was pleased to see the Worcester News in court, saying it was vital the public remains informed.
He said: “It is nice to see the press here today, especially as the public cannot be here at present - it is good to see.”
