LOGS have been found defaced on a popular children’s play area.
The logs were vandalised on Westwood open space, in Droitwich, and two paint cans were discovered on the floor that appear to have been used for the damage.
The play area was opened just a year ago as part of a project to encourage children to be outdoors.
The Facebook page Spotted Droitwich posted photos of the damaged logs on Monday, June 8.
The post reads: “Such a shame people feel the need to do this to an area where kids like to go play.
“If anyone recognises this brand of spray paint or it’s gone missing then two cans were found on Westwood open space along with all the recent vandalism.”

The vandalism includes rude words, such as d*** and b*****, that have been spray painted on the logs.
Followers of Spotted Droitwich flocked to the comments and called the vandals “sad, pathetic low life” and joked “obviously got a huge vocabulary.”
Worcestershire County Councillor Richard Morris has called the vandalism attack “needless and sad.”
He said: “It’s sad that some of the minority will do that.
“It was a needless and sad act.
“We have provided something to support outdoor activities where children can enjoy, which is needed at this time to help the community.
“The majority don’t want to see that, especially where children play.”
He added: “This is the first time I have seen any graffiti or vandalism in that area. I haven’t known any trouble there before.
“It’s a fairly new area and was designed for recreational purposes.
“It’s about developing pride in the area.
“We want people to become more active.
“There’s a new residents’ association group which we want people to join.
“They can be the bridge between the residents and the council to improve the area.”
The district council invested in the play area as part of the West Project.
The play area includes outdoor equipment for children to enjoy, including logs, picnic tables and goal posts and was built a year ago.
