STAFF at a hospice are “thrilled” to benefit from a £2,000 donation.
St Richard’s Hospice was selected to receive the funding by staff at Cytoplan Limited, a food supplements company in Hanley Swan.
Tricia Cavell, fundraising director at St Richard’s, said: “We were absolutely thrilled to be chosen to receive such a generous donation, and are very grateful to staff at Cytoplan and The AIM Foundation.
“Our fundraising income has been hit by the coronavirus, as we have had to postpone events and temporarily shut shops.
“But, backed by the wonderful help of our incredible community we are hopeful we will come through these difficult days together.”
The funding will support St Richard’s Hospice to continue caring for patients.
Amanda Williams, ceo at Cytoplan, said: “We have chosen to support St Richard’s Hospice because it is a wonderful cause, which does an amazing job for local people.
“Some of our staff have had personal experience, through family members, of the hospice’s care and kindness at the end of life. It is close to a lot of hearts in this area.”
