A YOUNG man has been found dead in a woodland in Worcester.
Police have confirmed a body was found on Sunday evening in a wooded area near Newtown Road.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "At around 5.20pm yesterday (May 3) we were called to a wooded area near Newtown Road, Worcester.
"Sadly a man, believed to be a 23-year-old local man, was found deceased. His next of kin and the coroner have been informed. His death is not being treated as suspicious."
Witnesses reported seeing nine police cars parked next to a field in Wood Green Drive.
An area was taped off and it was thought sniffer dogs and a private ambulance were also at the scene.
