A CYCLING group will take part in the 2.6 Challenge with riders being connected from their homes.
Each of the 26 riders will use technology such as Zwift to ride together as a pack in real time, raising funds for Primrose Hospice.
Club founder, Jim Varnish, said: “Once we heard about the pressure the hospice was under we all felt compelled to help.
"The thought of people not having help and support during this time is heart-breaking and we know all at V-Sprint Cycling Club can help.
“We have set up a gruelling 26 hour schedule with 26 members taking one hour turns in pairs with a target of £2,600 which we are focussed on.
“We will be communicating with each other throughout the ride to add motivation to everyone.
“In addition, we expect riders from all over the world to jump on the ride to pull us along."

Sally Insley, fundraising manager at Primrose Hospice, said: “We are incredibly grateful to V-Sprint Cycle Club who have done amazing this weekend.
"Not only have they cycled over 2600miles in 26 hours but they've raised around £8000 for Primrose bereavement services.
“This will make such a difference to the hospice at a time when we are seeing demand surge.
“We can't thank the team enough they have done a fantastic job and have smashed the 2.6 Challenge for Primrose Hospice.”
