AN opticians in Worcester has been taking special precautions to continue serving its clients during the coronavirus crisis.

Dominic Tunnell Opticians is adhering to the latest safety measures and operating under the strict guidelines of its governing body with regard to coronavirus.

Mr Tunnell said: "We’re operating a closed door policy so just drop them off at our door and we’ll phone or text when your spectacles are repaired.

"All non-emergency routine eye exams have been stopped, however we are here to help anyone who is having any eye- related issues.

"We are able to supply replacement spectacles or sunglasses, repair all types of frames and supply contact lenses.

"We are happy to collect and/or deliver if you are unable to visit us or are classified as vulnerable.

"We are in the practice operating the phones between 9.00 and 12:30, 6 days a week to service our existing customers and answer any queries or eye related problems.

"Almost all repairs can be done on site, but we can also fix when out and about if needed. If your spectacles are damaged or scratched or missing a part we can often fix within 15-20 mins.

"All our contact lens manufacturers are still supplying lenses and we will advise everyone when they are ready for collection or alternatively they can be posted to you instead during this crisis.

"Any patients with dry-eye symptoms are still able to collect or have posted their usual consignment of eye-drops and solutions.

"Thank you to all our customers for being so understanding and for those that waited longer than usual for their spectacles and/or contact lenses to be posted or delivered.

"We hope everyone is coping through this incredibly difficult time and we look forward to seeing you when the lockdown restrictions are relaxed."
