No new deaths were recorded by Worcestershire Acute Hospital NHS Trust, which runs the county's three main hospitals.

Although the death was announced today - and relate to those released by the trust for the previous day - they did not all happen on that day.

They relate to deaths that happened previously but have only just been added to official totals.

These figures mean a total of 104 people have died in the county’s hospitals.

A further 667 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died nationally, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 10,261.

Patients were aged between 17 and 101 years old. 40 of the 667 patients (aged between 37 and 98 years old) had no known underlying health condition -their families have been informed.

Over the weekend there were 20 new deaths relating to coronavirus in the county.

Last Friday, 27 new deaths were announced in the county so yesterday’s figures do show a decline in deaths.

The Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust covers the Worcestershire Royal Hospital, as well as the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital. Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust covers community hospitals and rehabilitation wards, including Worcester City Impatient Unit, Malvern Community Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital, Pershore Community Hospital, the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove, Tenbury Community Hospital and Wye Forest Ward.
