Cinema chains including Cineworld, Odeon and Vue have closed all of their branches across the UK due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The companies have taken the decision to close until 'further notice' following advice from the Government issued on Monday night.
In a statement published on Tuesday, an Odeon spokesman said: "Following government guidelines, Odeon cinemas are closed until further notice.
"If you have pre-booked tickets online, these will be refunded automatically.
"For any specific questions, please contact our guest services centre.
"We look forward to welcoming you back soon."
According to reports, Cineworld and Vue have also closed all cinemas nationwide 'until further notice', with staff urged not to come into work.
Elsewhere, Picturehouse Cinemas have announced the closure of all their branches. A spokesman said: "It's with great sadness, that Picturehouse is today announcing the closure of all it's cinemas across the UK starting from Wednesday, March 18, until further notice."
What about other cinema chains?
As of Tuesday lunchtime, other groups including Empire Cinemas and Everyman Cinemas have yet to confirm if all of their venues will close indefinitely.
