SEVERAL evening and night-time closures will take place over the next few months due to the M5 junction 6 improvement works.
As part of the improvement scheme, the roundabout will be widened, as well as the slip roads and all the approaches.
Fully signed diversion routes will be put in place for any full carriageway closures.
An extra lane to the roundabout will be placed, and traffic signals on the A449 and the A4538 Pershore Lane south will be added.
The following traffic measures will be put in place from Monday, December 16.
• Narrow Lanes in place on the roundabout and all approaches.
• 50mph speed limit in place reducing down to 30mph.
• Barrier in place on the M5 and A4440 and A449 approaches.
• Free recovery service in place on both Highways England and Worcestershire County Council network.
• Daytime Off-peak (9.30am to 3.00pm) lane closures.
• Night-time Off-peak (8pm to 6am) full closures and lane closures.
