POLICE investigating the death of a woman in Upton upon Severn are appealing for witnesses.
Police were called around 8am on Saturday morning after a 25-year-old woman was found unresponsive in Causeway Lane, close to the fire station.
She has been named locally as Sarah Hopkins, who worked at Permadoor and also at the Plough Inn.

The cause of death is not yet known. Enquiries are continuing and police are appealing for anyone who was in the area between 11pm on Friday and 8am on Saturday.
A 44 year old man arrested on suspicion of murder remained in police custody as of last night, after detectives were granted extra time to question him.
Senior investigating officer, Detective Inspector Jim Bayliss said: “Our thoughts remain with the family of the woman who has died at this incredibly difficult time. We have specially trained officers who are offering support.
“Our enquiries have continued throughout today as we work to establish the circumstances around the woman’s death and I would ask anyone who was near the fire station in Causeway Lane between around 11pm on Friday night and the early hours of Saturday to get in contact with us as they may have information that can help with our enquiries.”
