HOME, leisure and gardens retailer The Range has confirmed its plans to open a new superstore in Worcester, creating 80 new jobs.
Work is currently under way at the site on Hylton Road, previously a Homebase store, and the opening is planned for Friday, December 20, at 9am.
The new store in Worcester will create 80 full and part-time jobs, including store and department managers, warehouse assistants and retail administrators.
The store will include a family cafe, large outdoor garden centre, and an Iceland Foods coming in the new year.
Chris Dawson, owner and founder of The Range, said: “Opening a new store is always an exciting moment for the company and the Worcester superstore is no exception.
“The job provision that comes with the new store should be a great boost to the local area. We hope that the people of Worcester, and the surrounding areas, will be delighted with this news."
