TWO city centre shops have mysteriously closed until further notice.
A women’s accessories store, Accessorize and skincare company, L’Occitane have signs placed on their store windows announcing the temporary closure.
The closed shops, which are based next to one another on Worcester High Street, were spotted by a passer-by yesterday (Thursday, September 26).
The area has been sectioned off by metal fencing and a barricade.
The sign on Accessorize’s shop window reads: “Sorry for the inconvenience. Store is closed for the moment, will advise on opening.
“Click and collect parcels will be at Stratford-Upon-Avon store.”
The sign on L’Occitane’s shop front says: “Due to unforeseen circumstances this store will be closed today.
“We apologise for any inconvenience. Thank you.”

The Worcester News contacted both stores for a comment on the closures however neither responded before publication.
It is understood both stores have been forced to shut following the torrential rainfall in the city on Tuesday, September 24.
The heavy rain caused flash floods in the city which caused difficulty to pedestrians and drivers as they ploughed their way through.
The rainfall caused a tree to fall over in Hylton Road, St John’s, and a wall to collapse.
Police had to block off the road and temporary traffic lights were installed to control the traffic flow.
There were also travel delays as police were forced to divert drivers at the turn-off onto Hylton Road near McDonald’s.
