AMERICAN fast food chain Five Guys is about to open in the city and readers have mixed feelings about another new burger restaurant coming to the city.
Hundreds of people commented after we reported the restaurant was due to open in Cathedral Square on Monday.
Sam Pisani said: “Great news for us.
“A really good operator bringing 30 jobs to Worcester and another brand name wanting to be here.”
Leanne Shuck said: “Best milkshakes I have ever had - cannot wait and the food is great too.”
Jack Deakin said: “It would be great if Five Guys would come to Redditch as well.
However, others were not so welcoming.
Alexander James Denny said: “Awesome, more burgers. Now we have lots of coffee shops, charity shops and burger joints!
Nuala Young said: “Just what Worcester needs another food outlet.”
Adrian Davis said: “Just about better than an empty shop.”
Annie Goble said: “My poor home town.
“Worcester needs to lift its game.

“It is starting to lose pride in itself by allowing so many fast food eateries in what should be a classic Cathedral Square setting.”

Shane Croft said: “This isn’t just any burger joint - it’s Five Guys so stop moaning if people don’t like it they don’t have to go.
Five Guys opened its first store in the UK in 2013 and now has 95 stores across the country.
