WORCESTER is bracing for thunder and rain with a weather warning in place for most of the region this week.
The yellow warning for thunder was issued by the Met office, with storms set to hit the area from Monday evening onwards.
Thickening cloud overnight could bring showers through the evening and start of the night, but the forecast is for mainly dry weather turning breezier later in the night.
Tuesday will see a mix of sunny spells and showers.
Some of the showers will bring thundery downpours in places, and it will be windy.
The Met Office warns that the thunder and rain could cause flooding in some areas, and people are advised to take extra care when driving, particularly in bad weather.
The weather warning extends across the West and South West of the country, with Worcester, Malvern, Ledbury and Hereford all covered.
