BREDON School was the worthy winner of this year’s Independent School of the Year award.
The school was recognised for its attitude towards pastoral care and imaginative efforts to increase the experience of its pupils.
Headmaster Koen Claeys was there to accept the award on behalf of the school, and said: “It is amazing to be recognised in this way.
“We are not a school that is widely known outside of the area so it is good to get recognition like this.
“It has been an amazing year at the school, and this tops it.”
The Independent School of the Year Award was presented by Worcester News editor Michael Purton, with the panel of judges looking for academic
achievement, and schools which demonstrate innovation, imagination and efforts to develop young people
in ways that go beyond the league tables.
Bredon School triumphed in the award despite stiff competition from Gloverspiece Minifarm and King’s St Alban’s.
