POLICE have confirmed that the body found in the River Severn near Kempsey is that of 18-year-old Alessandro Frumenzi.
A search was launched after a man was seen falling into the river from the Sabrina Bridge in the early hours of Saturday morning.
A CCTV image was released the next day, and the man was informally identified as Mr Frumenzi from Leverkusen in Germany, who had come to study at the Heart of Worcestershire College last autumn.
The body was recovered at Draycott, near Kempsey, at 10.40am on Monday, and police have now confirmed his identity.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
Floral tributes for Mr Frumenzi have been left below the Bridge, on the racecourse side of the river.
The tributes include a picture of a Romanian flag, with the words RIP Alessandro 2001-2019.
Another written says: "I cannot believe you are gone.
"You were the greatest and kindest person I have ever me."
