PETE Hines, from Perryfields Primary Pupil Referral Unit, praised the efforts of his staff and pupils as he was a finalist in the Headteacher of the Year award.
Mr Hines’ nomination was the second for the school in St John’s, which won the Primary School of the Year category.
He said: “This is a fantastic team effort from a wonderful school.
“If we believe we can, we will. I feel very privileged to lead such a fantastic school and am very proud of our pupils.”
After four consecutive outstanding Ofsted results, the school was celebrating after the two nominations.
Along with educating pupils on-site, Perryfields Primary PRU also provides behaviour support to 111 primary, first and middle schools in South Worcestershire.
Mr Hines was described by Ofsted as an “inspirational headteacher” and that the leadership team leads with “insight and dedication”
