A TEACHER who ‘oozes with enthusiasm’ was a runner-up for this year’s Teacher of the Year.
Rob Harrison, from Perryfields Primary Pupil Referral Unit, believes in the welfare and self-esteem of his pupils.
Mr Harrison said: “To have the opportunity to make a positive and real difference to vulnerable young people’s lives is a real honour and I’m lucky to work with such amazing colleagues, a fantastic head-teacher and a forward thinking and supportive governing body.
“I hope I can continue teaching and helping young people across Worcestershire for many years to
come.
“I feel extremely humbled and privileged to have been nominated for Teacher of the Year as part of the Worcester News Worcestershire Education Awards 2019.
“Thank you to Worcester News for shining a light on the hard work of all teachers around the county.”
Judges heard from Mr Harrison’s nomination that he is passionate and dedicated to teaching.
