THE winner of this year’s Primary School of the Year was awarded to Perryfields Primary pupil referral unit (PRU).
Following four consecutive outstanding Ofsted reports, the school is a testament to the success that Perryfields has enjoyed in recent years.
Headteacher Pete Hines says the school “relentlessly seeks to improve” and will never stop trying to make life better for its pupils.
Talking about the award, Mr Hines said: “Fantastic team effort from a wonderful school. If we believe we can, we will.”
Along with educating pupils onsite, Perryfields provides behaviour support to 111 primary, first and middle schools in South Worcestershire.
The Ofsted report highlighted that Perryfields successfully returns pupils to mainstream school and prepares them for the next stage of their education.
Mr Hines added: “We need to be proud of how far we have come but never stop pushing ourselves to be the best that we can be in helping build pupils’ aspirations and getting them back on track.”
