COURSE: Racing at the Pitchcroft course is off, due to waterlogged areas of the course
WORCESTER Racecourse's Saturday evening meeting has been called off by officials, due to a waterlogged course.
The scheduled National Hunt meeting, Super Irish Saturday, has been cancelled after an early-morning inspection held today.
The notification on the Worcester Racecourse website says: "Saturday 15 June 2019 - Please note that due to large areas of standing water and waterlogging on the track this fixture has been abandoned."
Worcester reported 72mm of rainfall in the past five days, and more rain is forecast throughout today, and tomorrow afternoon.
