UPDATE: The road has now reopened.
Police say people are no longer required to keep their windows and doors closed as a precaution.
"Thank you for your patience while we responded to this incident," West Mercia Police add.
A reporter at the scene has spoken to Fire Service Group Commander Stuart Crebbin who says that the incident caused by people carelessly mixing household chemicals.
"The lesson is, always read the label," he tells us.
It is understood the chemicals came from a Land Rover and the people in the vehicle fled the scene.
A resident of the road, who did not want to be named, said: "They came round and told us to shut our doors and windows, they said something about chlorine.
"It's a windy day so I wasn't too flummoxed."
Another resident speculated the chemicals were being mixed to make weedkiller.

Just been told by the police that it is a chemical spillage with nothing to worry about. However, if we hear a siren in the next half hour, then we have to stay inside and wait to be advised by a fireman on how to get out of our place of work safely 😳
