POLICE are still searching for a man who was released from prison by mistake.
An appeal has been launched to find William Walter Johnson, as it has been more than a week after he was released from HMP Hewell in Redditch by mistake.
He is wanted by Gloucestershire Police after failing to return to prison.
Johnson is described as a white man with a shaven head.
The 47-year-old is believed to have links to Evesham, Ledbury, Hereford and Tewkesbury.
Anyone who has seen Johnson, or knows where he is, is asked to call police on 101 quoting 142 of April 17.
