READERS have given their reaction to the news Harvester Perdiswell is set to close.
The Worcester News reported yesterday that the Droitwich Road-based pub is set to close, as owners Mitchell & Butlers have decided to sell up.
The identity of the new owners is a mystery, but agents JJL acting on their behalf have submitted an application for a certificate of existing lawful use to Worcester City Council, to demonstrate the site has been used as a restaurant so it can continue to operate as one.
On social media, Marina O'Connor wrote: "We had our anniversary meal there. Really enjoyed it. Sad news."
But Iain Taylor said: "One of the worst restaurants in Worcester."
Kieran Hooper said: "What an ideal pub for someone with a bit of money and ambition. Good location, decent sized kitchen, nice size."
Jennifer Rogers said: "I think this is a shame Harvester food isn’t great but it’s not bad value for money - all the best to the staff."
