TODAY'S old picture from the Worcester News archive dates back to 1979, and shows a typical English village scene, the duck pond at Willersey, near Broadway. The pond is a well-known attraction. It is surrounded on three sides by grass, and the fourth side is bounded by the garden of a large house to which the pond once belonged. In the centre is a small island of Cotswold stones which acts a refuge from foxes for the ducks.
