A HEADTEACHER has made a video showing everyone how easy it is to do a swab test which could help doctors save the life of a young pupil’s life.
Five-year-old Oscar Saxelby-Lee has an aggressive form of leukaemia and his parents have been told they have only three months to find him a life-saving blood stem cell transplant.

A campaign, Hand in Hand for Oscar was launched to raise money for Oscar and his parents.
On Saturday and Sunday, March 2 and 3, Pitmaston Primary School – where Oscar is a pupil – will be hosting a DKMS registration event to find stem cell donors. This will be held from 9am - 3pm on both days at the school in Malvern Road, Worcester.
In a video demonstrating how to complete the swab test, Pitmaston head Kate Wilcock says: “It is as simple as sticking it in your mouth. You will rub that around for up to a minute, three times, then it gets sent. It is absolutely painless, quick and simple, so please, please let's see you at Pitmaston on March 2 and 3.”
You will be able to register and complete the swab test in one visit. Anyone aged between 17 and 55 can register. Do so by visiting dkms.org.uk/en/registernow. To support Oscar and his family, visit justgiving.com/crowdfunding/hand-in-handforoscarsaxelby-lee
