A MAN has died after being hit by a train near Worcester.
Police and paramedics were called to the tracks near Evelench Lane, Tibberton at 10.04am today (February 6) after reports of the casualty.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "A person was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers are now working to identify the person and inform their family.
"This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner," he added.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, crews discovered one patient, man. Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
National Rail reported that trains were being disrupted between Bromsgrove and Cheltenham Spa due to the incident.
Delays, revisions and cancellations were expected to last until around midday.
