PRINCESS Anne is returning to Worcester a year after she last visited the city.

The Princess Royal will be officially opening the Fairfield Campus, in Brickfields, and unveiling a plaque in the Fairfield Community Primary School Hall on Monday.

She will also attend the annual meeting of Worcestershire Association of Carers, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary at St Peter's Baptist Church.

She will meet members and cut a celebratory cake.

The Fairfield Campus includes the school, adult learning centre, community cafe, neighbourhood nursery, health centre and pharmacy.

She will be greeted by children from the Fairfield Community Centre with a singing performance, and will have the opportunity to meet people who were involved in the building project.

Princess Anne last visited Worcester in March 2006 when she attended a charity auction at Worcester Crown Court and helped raise £17,500 for Victim Support. In 2004 she officially opened The Grange School in Fernhill Heath.

And in 2003 with Princess was in the city opening an exhibition at the City Art gallery and Museum, in Foregate Street. The exhibition covered the 300-year anniversary of the Worcestershire Regiment.
