A PUPIL at Winterfold House School has become the SoBeano Editor of the week.
Pupil Swaran Guru’s favourite comic magazine is the Beano so he sent his favourite joke to the magazine, together with a photo of himself in his Winterfold uniform.
Swaran subsequently received an email from Beano headquarters, asking if he would like to be SoBeano Editor of the week for January 23.
Beano HQ asked him to write a brief description about himself, choose the winners of that week, send jokes and send photographs of himself.
Swaran was also able to ask the magazine's illustrator to draw him in his Aston Villa kit.
Swaran and his family were sworn to secrecy but the issue has now been published.
The school said Swaran felt very privileged to have been chosen to be editor of the longest running British children’s comic magazines.
