A TOTAL lunar eclipse will take place next week.
Worcester folk can watch the event by looking westwards between 4.42am and 5.44am on January 21.
The moon will be 26 degrees above the horizon, halfway through the eclipse.
There will be a partial eclipse from 3.35am to 4.42am and from 5.44am to 6.51am.
The earth blocks sunlight from reaching the moon, during a total lunar eclipse.
This will leave the moon a reddish colour, creating what is called a 'Blood Moon'.
