A STUDENT has created a naked calendar with fellow pupils to raise money for charity.
Paige Taylor, from Worcester, organised the RAG Naked Calendar which is an annual event for the Raising and Giving Society to help charities.
The 20-year-old joined RAG as an events officer during her final year at Bristol University.
Paige said: “I thought it would be a fun first project to be involved in and I wanted to progress away from the traditional ‘12 sports teams showcase’ and into something that truly represented the student body.
“I saw it as a project which had the potential to raise lots of money for our charities, as well as it being a diverse and body-positive event.
“The calendar shows the students having a good old giggle.”
Around 80 students took part in the making of the nude calendar, which features 12 societies posing in different scenarios.
Paige said that one of the most difficult parts of organising the calendar was selecting the 12 societies. The applicants were judged on their idea and how they would promote the calendar to their followers.
Paige added: “We then set up meetings with our photographer and scheduled in the shoots. These took place in a variety of buildings on campus, as well as some outdoor shoots which had to be done in the early hours of the morning to avoid members of the public.
“We managed to take all of the photos within around two weeks. This happened at the end of October when the temperature suddenly dropped.
“I had a lot of respect for everyone involved as they huddled around in dressing gowns with hot water bottles. We then found somewhere to print and began the promotion process.
“It’s been a lot of fun, and utterly amazing to see how eager everyone is to raise funds for charity.”

All proceeds from the sales of the calendar, which is priced at £7, will benefit three charities: Bristol Nightline, The CATS Campaign and Womankind Bristol.
