FAIRYTALE princesses are set to visit the children’s hospital ward to bring sparkle to their day.
My Little Princess is a children’s service which offers a variety of characters for parties and events, including princesses, pirates and superheroes.
Karen Melling, the franchise owner based in Worcester, said: “The princesses stay in character as they go around the wards and visit the children. They are trained in what they do, and a lot of them have drama and theatrical backgrounds. We have a professional singer from Worcester, Pippa Langhorne, who attend the events.
“The princesses meet the children, tell them stories and adventures. The idea is to put a smile on the children’s faces. We aim to inspire them and stretch their dreams, by creating a magical memory for the children.
"Whichever character the children adore, we bring their favourite fairytale character to life.
"A lot of the time the princesses give up their time and make considerable contributions to charities.
"We have been spreading the magic locally for just over one year when I bought the franchise."
On Sunday, the princesses will be spreading their magic and visiting the children at Worcestershire Royal Hospital from 11am.
There are eight My Little Princess services across the country.
The children's entertainers from Worcester have recently visited the patients at Birmingham Children’s Hospital alongside the Aston Villa football team.
Mrs Melling added: “While the princesses were visiting there, they were lucky enough to hear the bell go - this is when a child is given the all clear.”
