Pamper your lawn in autumn
1. Use a spring-tine rake to pull out dead weeds, moss and grasses clogging up the base of the turf.2. Improve drainage and aeration by spiking the surface with a garden fork to a depth of at least 8cm (3in).3. Brush a fine dressing of loam mixed with lime-free sand and organic matter on to the surface of the lawn, to encourage the grass to become thicker and tougher.
