Worcester News competition winner Nicola Rouse was one of nearly 2,000 people who enjoyed the autumn food festival at St Peter's Garden Centre last week.

Mrs Rouse, of Red Hill, Worcester, entered a competition to win £50 hamper of farmers' market goodies, which she was presented with on the day by Henry Wormington, chairman of Worcestershire Farmers' Markets Group.

Mr Wormington said: "We were delighted at how well the St Peter's autumn food festival was received by the local community and the public at large. We would like to thank everyone who attended for their support."

The event, which included free pottery painting with Malvern's Green Frog Pottery, was heralded as a great success.

Mark Rice, of St Peter's Garden Centre, said: "We received lots of praise from the local community about the event, particularly the range of stalls and the free children's activities."
