A TEENAGER suffered head injuries after falling off his motocross bike.
The 16-year-old was airlifted to Hereford County Hospital following the incident, which happened near the village of Sutton St Nicholas, Hereford, at 4.20pm on Sunday (sept 30).
West Midlands Ambulance Service crews had to drive down a dirt track to reach the boy, who had been knocked unconscious.
Paramedic, Duncan Brooks, said: "The 16-year-old Hereford lad had apparently gone over a steep bank and come off his bike when he landed.
"His friends told us that he had been unconscious for a short period but had come round by the time we arrived."
Emergency Medical Technician, David Morgan added: "Given the location and the distance from the road, this was an ideal incident for the air ambulance.
"The County Air Ambulance from Strensham was sent. We immobilised the teenager using a neck collar and spinal board as a precaution. He was then airlifted to hospital with a head injury - it is not believed to be too serious."
