A 54 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a suspected stabbing in Tolladine yesterday.
The man was arrested following an assault on a man in his 20s who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
His injuries are not currently thought to be life threatening.
A spokesman from West Mercia Police said: "Police attended a premises on Avon Road in Worcester at around 12.30am yesterday morning (Wednesday 14 November) following a report of concern for the welfare of a man.
"On attendance a man in his 20s was located who had been the victim of a serious assault.
"He was treated at the scene by officers and was taken to hospital by ambulance. His injuries are not currently believed to be life threatening.
"A scene guard remained in place yesterday (Wednesday 14 November) while officers conducted enquiries.
A 54-year-old man from Worcester was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in police custody at this time."
