FORMER Lindisfarne frontman Billy Mitchell is in Worcester next month.

Mitchell, singer and guitarist with the legendary group for eight years, is performing at the city's Huntingdon Hall with BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards nominee Bob Fox.

The collaboration between the pair has been described as a long time coming. Both men honed their musical talents around Tyneside, both are fine singers and accomplished musicians. After many years of mutual admiration they teamed up and the result has been hugely poplar.

Mitchell is a respected musician who, prior to his involvement in Lindisfarne, founded the seminal Jack the Lad. He recently released his debut solo album, The Devil's Ground.

Mitchell and Fox play on Wednesday, October 3. For tickets, priced £11, call the Worcester Live box office on 01905 611427. Visit www.worcesterlive. co.uk for details.
